Chikungunya virus (CHIKV) fever is an arboviral infection transmitted primarily by Aedes mosquitoes, the same mosquitoes that transmit Zika virus (ZIKV) and dengue virus (DENV) fevers. Unlike ZIKV and DENV, CHIKV has not gotten much publicity. But, in recent years, it has reemerged as a significant global public health concern.
