Nairobi CD4 Workshop

The International Diagnostics Centre (IDC) held the first of a series of regional workshops in Nairobi on May 18-19, 2017 to discuss the role of CD4 testing in country programs as they are scaling up viral load testing. Five countries from the East African Community (Burundi, Kenya, Rwanda, Tanzania and Uganda) participated in this workshop. This report is a summary of the country situational analyses on country preparedness for viral load scale up, demand forecasts, and funding needs to sustain CD4 testing for patient management.
